My name is Jody and I live in Northern NJ. I have been interested in remote control technology for most of my life. A few months ago, I started flying my newest quad-copter, the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus. It takes high definition video and beautiful still photographs. After my seeing my first flight in High Definition First Person View (HD FPV), I was hooked. I started my “GlideByJJ” facebook page and invited some friends to join and see our town in a whole new way. This page attracted a local newspaper who has since interviewed me twice and featured my photos in the articles. Each day I notice more and more people “liking” my page and watching my youtube videos. As of today, I have 24,947 video views. I am so grateful to receive such positive comments from people that I have never met before, complimenting me on the beauty and grace of my videos.

This has become a family affair; my daughter helps with the camera, I am the pilot, my mom loves to be the “catcher” AKA my Drone Caddy (ha ha) and my 90 year old grandmother enjoys watching the finished videos while being amazed at the amount of benefits a drone can offer.

I have captured aerial videos of my daughters cheer squad and afterward the team used the footage to learn from. Additionally, our local high school had me fly over their marching band so that they could see where the students needed to improve and mark exactly where they needed to stand. The amount of beneficial uses for drones are countless.

I have a great network of friends and family who know that I am responsible and therefore support me each time I take the road less traveled to arrive at what makes me happy. This has included choosing motorcycles over cars, auto-mechanics over cosmetology, and quad-copters over baking 🙂
